I’m proud to report that my directing partner, Ron Eyal, has been invited to the 2011 TIFF Talent Lab, an intensive four-day artistic development program that provides emerging talent with the opportunity to learn from the world’s top filmmakers.
Director Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) and distribution veteran and October Films founder Bingham Ray and are two of this year’s governors, who will mentor the participants. From the TIFF Talent Lab website:
Talent Lab leads participants in group discussions on a range of topics focused on the artistic side of filmmaking – sharpening the skills and confidence of a new generation of filmmakers while providing emerging talent with the opportunity to build networks and to learn from some of the most accomplished filmmakers and artists in the world.
Ron is following in the footsteps of our friend Tom Quinn (2008 Lab) , director of the wonderful film The New Year Parade, who wrote this article about the lab for The Workbook Project:
Another notable lab alum is my cousin, the incomparable Jared Raab, who was in the lab last year.
